The word "chiropractic" comes from the Greek word meaning "effective treatment by hand." Today, this word is associated with the manipulation of joints to bring them back into healthy alignment. To communicate our belief that massage therapy is a complementary practice to current medical and chiropractic methods, we took the Greek root word for muscle, "myo-", and added it to the suffix "-practic",
So there you have it - effective treatment for muscles, or "myopractic". We believe this word should and will come into daily usage as people become more familiar with the effectiveness of massage therapy for recovery and relief of chronic pain. Contact us today to join us on the front line of myopractic pain management!
