How We Are Keeping You Safe

  • COVID-19 Intake Assessment and Contact Tracing

  • Cleaning and Disinfecting Protocols

    • Frequently disinfect commonly used surfaces and high traffic areas

    • Hospital-grade EPA-approved cleaning products to disinfect all surfaces touched by clients

    • Porous surfaces (including table, face cradle, pillows, and bolsters) covered by washable or disposable covers and changed between clients

    • Appliances and tools sanitized between clients

    • Displays cleaned and sanitized daily

    • Disposable face cradle covers, gloves, and masks available on-site

    • Clean linens stored in clean, covered dresser

    • Used linens stored in a lidded, closed hamper outside the treatment room

    • All non-essential items (including décor, information displays, and amenities) removed from treatment room and waiting room

    • Touchless lotion dispenser

    • Hand sanitizer available

    • Extra time between clients for cleaning and sanitizing protocols

    • Open windows when possible

    • Fewer clients seen daily

  • Physical Distancing Protocols

    • Six feet of distance between workers and patients

    • Virtual check-in

    • Six feet of distance between waiting room chairs

  • No facial or hand massage

  • No walk-in appointments

  • No one other than the patient allowed in the clinic, except for a parent/guardian accompanying a minor

  • Patients should only come to the clinic for their appointment if they do not pose a health risk to the workers and other patients in the clinic. Appointments will be canceled or rescheduled for patients who indicate any sign of illness.

  • Therapists are required to:

    • Screen for temperature and symptoms before coming into the clinic

    • Be screened for temperature and symptoms when reporting for work at the clinic Wash hands frequently for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water

    • Practice physical distancing both at work and outside of work

    • Wash hands immediately before and after providing massage therapy services​

    • Properly wear face coverings that cover nose and mouth while at the clinic

    • Wash hands before and after adjusting face coverings

    • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth

    • Wash or dispose of face coverings after each client

    • Wear disposable gloves while changing linens between clients

    • Wear a washable or disposable apron to work on patients and wash, change, or dispose of it between clients

    • Use their own work supplies and PPE (no sharing)

  • Patients are required to: 

    • Respond to pre-appointment contact requesting COVID-19 screening

    • Be screened for temperature and symptoms when arriving at the clinic

    • Stay home to protect our workers and other patients if experiencing any signs of illness 

    • Wash hands before receiving services​

    • Wear a mask for the entire massage therapy session

These practices were developed in accordance with requirements and recommendations from the California Department of Health, Sacramento County Public Health Officer Orders, California Massage Therapy Council, Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards, â€‹â€‹CAL-OSHA, among others. They are updated regularly as circumstances change. For the most up-to-date information, please request a copy of the most current practices in-person at the clinic.
